My Cars

Well, here she is in all her Glory.  My Beautiful 1960 Velox.  It's Royal Blue with a Blue interior.  Like all Canadian-market cars, the wheels are painted Regency Cream.

I'll link to most of the pictures so you don't spend 20 minutes waiting for the page to load.

This is car number PASY108534, which, from what I know, would indicate a build date of roughly April, 1960. It's been heavily restored by the previous owner, who replaced the outer rockers (Sills), patched the front floors, the trunk (Boot) floor, repaired the rusted out fuel filler flap area, repainted it and got it running perfectly again.  The car was originally sold new by Pigot Motors of Toronto, Ontario.  It ended up migrating from Toronto to Southampton where it at one point in the 1970s was used to deliver newspapers!  After coming off the road sometime in the 70s, it was then purchased by a gentleman in Owen Sound, Ontario to be used as a parts car for a rusty 1959 that he planned to restore.  Apparently it never happened, and it was sold the a gentleman in Sarnia, Ontario along with the 1959 Velox who decided to save the 1960 car, this one, as it needed an awful lot less work.  And he restored her using quite a few parts from the 1959!  And that's the gentleman that I bought her from.

I'll also be posting pics of my other 1960 Velox, (the rustbucket) and the '59 Project when it gets down here to Florida.
